An immersive, compelling journey across centuries of tradition, told through fiddle, feet, Gaelic song and storytelling. This event powerfully explores how stepdance was forgotten in Scotland and kept alive in Cape Breton, and the lifelong friendship woven into its revival here.
Groundbreaking new work from award-winning director Gerry Mulgrew, and Deiseil Airson Dannsa founders, dancer Alison Carlyle and musician Amy Geddes. Deiseil means ‘ready’ in Scottish Gaelic: be ready for a mesmerising reflection on issues of culture, identity and connection.
