The Hoptimist stage is a live performance area in conjunction with our annual real ale festival based in the Scout Hall.

There's a variety of local artists performing acoustic sets for your enjoyment. These performances are free for your enjoyment.

Saturday 5th September 

11am HESTER CARR

Singer-songwriter Hester Carr covers traditional and contemporary folk, bringing her own tunes as well, from ballads to blues. Hester's warm clear vocals, backed by her fine guitar playing remind one of the voices that influenced her musical journey, from Joan Baez to Bonnie Raitt. Hester has shared her music throughout the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia, and is honored to perform at the Kirkcudbright Fringe Festival, returning to the home of her Scots ancestors, the Cochran family of Kirkcudbright.

2pm STUART WHAN

Local singer songwriter Stuart Whan, lead guitar and vocals from local indie rock band "Tours" performs a solo set
