Join poet and storyteller Margot Henderson and DJ McDowall for an interactive storytelling journey in the magical place of Greengate Garden. Meet at the entrance to Greengate Close, High Street, Kirkcudbright at 4.00pm.

Step through the Greengate and into the world of the Fairy Family. Set in the home and garden that nurtured their love and inspired imagination and creativity, this intimate gathering blends interactive storytelling and folklore in a lightly immersive experience to explore the intersections between fairies, (queer) identity and the real lives once lived here - in the enchanting garden of Jessie M King’s Greengate Close!

Continuing our legacy work from The Story of a Fairy Family exhibition, this experience is suitable for all ages. Dress for the weather, and please bring a blanket and a cushion to make yourself comfortable.
